• People over 60 (higher risk group)
• Family history of glaucoma
• High eye pressure detected during a routine exam
• Diabetes or high blood pressure
• Previous eye injury or eye surgery

• Tonometry to measure eye pressure
• Visual field testing to detect peripheral vision loss
• OCT scan of the optic nerve and retinal nerve fiber layer
• Gonioscopy to examine the drainage angle
• Pachymetry to measure corneal thickness

• Prescription eye drops to lower eye pressure
• Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) to improve drainage
• Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS)
• Traditional glaucoma surgery when needed
• Regular monitoring every 3-6 months
